Fratelli Cigliuti

PIEMONTE

The territory of Barbaresco, in the southern part of Piedmont, has become synonymous with great wine, thus joining its neighbor the famous Barolo, with their Nebbiolo grape variety, in the firmament of Italian reds. The Cigliuti family embodies the strong peasant tradition of an exceptional vineyard through its history and fame.
The Cigliuti family – Renato, his wife Dina and their daughters Claudia and Silvia – embodies the strong peasant tradition, in the noblest sense of the term, which characterizes the Langhe region and particularly the village of Nieve, in the Barbaresco appellation. The vineyards of the estate (7.5 ha) are divided between a South-West exposure, with a limestone soil suitable for Nebbiolo and Dolcetto, and a South-East exposure with a more clayey soil suitable for Barbera. Beautifully crafted wines, dense, deep and sincere.
