A long undersestimated red varietal – though typical to the wine traditions of Catalonia – Sumoll is experiencing a return to favour. It resists well to drought and is marked by its late maturation, with a relatively light, subtle concentration.

Coming from 50-year-old vines situated in Bas-Penedès on limestone-clay soils, this red is vinified in whole-bunches (carbonic maceration), in stainless steel tanks and amphora, before being raised in chestnut barrels, giving the juice its beautiful texture.
