Zweigelt – named after the Austrian botanist who obtained it in 1922 by crossing Saint-Laurent and Blaufränkisch – is Austria's main red grape variety. The Andert estate offers one of the most convincing expressions of this.

From a terroir of loess and silt, vinified in whole bunches without inputs, the Andert brothers' zweigelt is juicy and sapid, with a delicate and silky balance, marked by notes of fruit (morello cherry, blackberry) discreetly nuanced with spices.
