The vast winegrowing area of Languedoc is divided into a number of different terroirs, each distinguished by its unique geological features. The Corbières region alone is made up of 11 distinct terroirs, including that of Durban, where Yohann Moreno is originally from. After a lengthy apprenticeship with Maxime Magnon – a leading figure in Languedoc winemaking – Yohann settled in Durban in 2013. Starting with just a few of his grandfather’s plots, he has grown his vineyard to 8 hectares within the Corbières appellation. Today, Yohann manages the estate organically and biodynamically. Uncompromising in this natural approach, the wines are incredibly fresh, aromatic and perfectly balanced.
Labeled under the simple "Vin de France "designation, this cuvée is produced from a typical Languedoc blend – 60% Carignan and 30% Grenache, with a touch of Syrah. The wine is vinified using whole clusters (semi-carbonic maceration) and aged in vats: a very expressive red, both powerful and harmonious, with a tension that adds balance and makes it irresistibly drinkable.
